EMPHASIS IN ORATION

"The gun that shatters too much does not bag the birds". The same way speaker that fires his force and emphasis at random into a sentence does not attain efficiency.
Not every word in a sentence is of special importance. The keywords deserve a special pressure to make them quirky and noticable.
Audience get exhausted over a period during a monotonous speech. To neglect that situation, speaker must introduce a variation by emphasizing the important parts of the sentence.
              Note the upcoming:
Destiny is not a matter of chance,it is a matter of chance.
In this snippet we may pronounce every word with equal priority by laying equal stress on each word but that does not provide us desired results.
We must obviously apply pressure on 'destiny' because it is a principal idea. You have to put some emphasis on 'not' else you are affirming destiny is a matter of chance. 'Chance and choice' must be emphasised as they are two big contrast ideas of the statement.

"DESTINY is NOT a matter of CHANCE, it is a matter of CHOICE"
Almost every sentence has 'mountain peek words' that represents big ideas. It is there liability of the speaker to identify them and execute flawlessly.
The words that are given force would conserve attention of their audience. It would be helpful for them to make note of important or major ideas of presentation or the oration.
To make the word hit audience differently deliver the emphatic wording a manner different from the words in the surroundings are uttered.
Let us not confound loudness with emphasis. It is the variation we provide on words to differentiate from the rest. The special word may be whispered if adjacent words were uttered aloud.
Sometimes for big emphasis it is advisable to lay stress on each and every syllable.
 For example:
"I ab-so-lute-ly refuse to grant your demand"
Stressing on different words in a sentence might change the meaning of the sentence.
It is not always possible to designate which word must and which word must not be emphasised.
One speaker pressure's a word to bring out different interpretation and another emphasises on other words to bring out different interpretation.
Use the comment session to practice a sentence with emphasis..

WHAT IS A MONOTONY?
